I went down to Brementown
in hopes to join a band
but it caused a great commotion
that I still don’t understand
And while we’re making our farewells
We pack up cares and woes as well
Bye, bye Blackbird

Simple Simon met a pieman
on assignment at the local fair
Said Simon to the pieman
I was hoping I could taste your wares
But now I think it’s time to go
It gets to be that you just know

I don’t suppose
Lila Rose
Is fine with those
who keep her waiting

When the pie is opened
all the birds in here begin to sing
isn’t that a dainty dish
to set down before a king
Now the sky is open wide
and sunshine has nowhere to hide
Bye, bye Blackbird,
Bye bye Blackbird
